Alright so you are looking for a way to make some good money from your local area without having to work for someone else right?

In this article for that is exactly what I am going to share with you how to do. There is potentially no upfront cost with this but you will need to set up an auto responder. A great and free one can be found at mailchimp.com. It is fairly easy to get started with but if you really want an auto responder that is simple for a beginner that would be Aweber.com.

Aweber is what I use and I have never had a problem with it.So what is the concept of this money making idea? Well, this is going to involve contacting local area businesses and having you run their weekly newsletter.

Think about this for a minute. Say you are into health and fitness and you want a way to make some money. What you would do is approach fitness clubs in your local area and tell them you are a professional media manager and you will run their weekly newsletter for a small fee and in that newsletter you will highlight what is going on within the club.

You can talk about fitness routines, new equipment, and classes that are being put on. You will need to get some templates for this and those can be found at Canva.com

There are many different templates and they can be customized to fit your client. Once again check out Canva.com

So once you have a great template for your newsletter you are going to want to sign up for affiliate networks like Clickbank and a CPA program.

To learn more about CPA marketing you can read my marketing article here. And for affiliate marketing help check out my article here.

Now that we have all of our tools together we can now put them all in place. So once again the concept is YOU being a media manager and constructing either a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly newsletter and placing your affiliate links that are clickable.

We can either do this by using hyperlinks or natural links. One thing I must suggest that you do is to also cloak your links.

Which just simply means you purchase relevant domains and forward your affiliate links to them.

What you don’t want them to look like is this Free Bottle Offer that has a link like this   http://www.mb38.com/lnk.asp?o=7372&c=918271&a=164808&l=6084

I mean, if it were you would you feel safer about clicking on that or the forwarded version like http://healthierbodies.club

I would choose the second one any day of the week. In reality, it is not about the upfront money that you will get from this but it will be on the recurring income that will flow in from the clickable affiliate links that will be placed in the newsletter.

Imagine for a second if you had just 10 clients at $50 a month paying you to do their monthly newsletter. That’s an extra $500 a month for writing a minuscule amount of information.

And believe me when I say $50 that is only the minimum. You can charge whatever you can get. Even $150 a month seems very reasonable and that equals out to an easy $1,500 per month!

Now that’s some impact full money not even including what else you can potentially be getting by putting links in the newsletter that is going to a highly targeted audience.

In many cases, the smaller clubs do not have the emails placed in an autoresponder. If this is the case you could tell them that 1 you will input these emails in all by yourself and have your own list or 2 have them sign up at Aweber for a Free 30 Day’s through your affiliate link and get a commission from that!

This is all about opening your mind to different possibilities and remember that the rules for making money are not set in stone.

If no one else is doing it and it is ethical, then you have an opportunity for you to succeed. Of course, remember if you start making significant amounts of money then you are going to need to incorporate your business and pay taxes.

So who should you target with this? Well, it is going to have to be an industry where the customer has constant contact with the business in order for that trustworthy relationship to be built and in turn having your affiliate links making money.

Preferably you will want to have or be able to gain some amount of knowledge about the subject you are targeting because yes you will be building or outsourcing your content.

Also, you are only going to want to have 1 or 2 other industries because researching for 10 different ones may be a bit time to consume even in an average 30 day month. Another factor and variable you will have to play around with are you going to go after franchises or only small and independent business owners.

It has been my experience that the franchise owners will have the larger lists but the independent owners will be more responsive because they will not have to abide by as many restrictions as the franchise owner.

Alright. The idea sounds great right. Well, now we need to circle back around to the beginning of this Offline money making opportunity article and work on your persona on being a media manager.

If we break this down and only go for running newsletters for companies, then that is a perfectly good business model.

It is easy to do and very achievable. The first thing I would do is sign up for Aweber and get to know the ins and outs of the autoresponder. They are running a special for a FREE 30 Day’s so now would be the time to get it!

There are plenty of videos that will walk you through the steps you would have to take to set up a campaign.

At that same time go to Canva.com and start building some mock newsletters. From that point, I would put together either a PowerPoint presentation or a short video that you can email the business owners.

Be professional and do not be afraid. Whatever you have questions about look the answers up online. There is so much information out on the internet that you could potentially learn how to do heart surgery let alone writing a newsletter.

On second thought I don’t think you could learn to do heart surgery but I was just making a point. Make a mental note of this and start looking around your neighborhood for these types of opportunities.

This is a very valuable asset that businesses would love to partner with someone that will do a great job and will provide them an outlet to reach more customers.

On that note, list out what the newsletter will entail. You are going to provide maybe 1 or 2 helpful articles with links in them. A monthly announcements section and also a monthly specials and feedback section.

If this is taken seriously I believe a second and possibly freeing side job could be a reality. In time this could move into a full-on social media managing company.

Ok, there it is. Hopefully, someone makes a few bucks off this information and don’t forget to sign up to my newsletter where you will get great stuff like this at least once a month!
